Faithfully Serve Those Who Serve Us

If yo u work with veterans or first responders please consider signing up for this valuable course. This 24-part video certification course is designed to prepare you to support the mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of Active Duty service members, Reservists, National Guard members, Veterans, First Responders (including law enforcement, firefighters, EMS, and emergency dispatchers), and their families. The program integrates biblically grounded principles with evidence-informed coaching strategies. The in-depth course covers a wide range of topics, including an overview of each military branch, counseling interventions, sleep disorders, veterans’ benefits, traumatic brain injury (TBI), PTSD, combat experiences, working with Gold Star families, chaplaincy work, ethics, and more. You do not need to have a counseling license. There is a huge need for mental health coaches to offer initial guidance, prevention and follow-up for our Veterans and First Responders. The program is offered through Light University, a division of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC). Dr. Murphy serves as the Division Leader of Military and Veteran Counseling at the AACC.
